Fernanda Tavares was born on September 22, 1980, in Natal, Brazil. She was discovered at the age of 13 in a modeling competition.
From 1998, she appeared in runway shows for Versace and Matthew Williamson. Between 2000 and 2005, she participated in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows. She has been a cover model for Vogue and Elle. In 2005, she hosted the styling show Missão on MTV Brazil.
