Irene Azuela Suárez, born on October 27, 1979, in London, England, is a Mexican actress and producer. She began her acting career in 2000 at TV Azteca with telenovelas such as Todo por Amor, Amores… querer con alevosía, and La otra mitad del sol. Her film debut was in 2007 with El búfalo de la noche.
She received the Ariel Award for Best Actress in 2008 for her performance in Quemar las Naves and won it again for Bajo la Sal. Irene has also appeared in theater productions including La Gaviota and Salomé and produced the series Paramédicos. She has a daughter born in 2015 with Enrique “Quique” Rangel, whom she married in 2017.
