Jada Koren Pinkett Smith (born September 18, 1971) is an American actress, dancer, singer-songwriter, and businesswoman. She began her career in 1990 with a guest appearance on the sitcom True Colors and starred in A Different World. She appeared opposite Eddie Murphy in The Nutty Professor (1996) and acted in films such as Menace II Society (1993), Set It Off (1996), Scream 2, Ali, The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, and the Madagascar series.
In 2002, Pinkett Smith helped create the metal band Wicked Wisdom, serving as singer and songwriter. She also founded a production company and published a book in 2004. In 1997, she married singer Will Smith, and they have two children, Jaden and Willow.
