Judith Holfelder-Roy (born 12 November 1976), known as Judith Holofernes, is a German singer, guitarist, songwriter, and author. She is best known as the lead singer of the German pop rock band Wir sind Helden, which gained fame in Germany after releasing the song "Guten Tag" in 2002. The band was critically acclaimed partly due to Holofernes' lyrics, noted for their playful word use and sociocritical themes.
Wir sind Helden released four chart-successful albums before going on indefinite hiatus in 2012. Since then, Holofernes has released a solo album, Ein leichtes Schwert (2014), and published a book of poems titled Du bellst vor dem falschen Baum (2015).
