Katja Flint was born on 11 November 1959 in Stadthagen, Lower Saxony. She grew up in Utah and is a German actress.
She married German actor Heiner Lauterbach, and they have a son named Oskar. Since 1982, Flint has been a major figure in German movies and television. In the 1990s, she had a long-term relationship with German film producer Bernd Eichinger, and in the early 2000s, with Austrian author Peter Handke.
