Ripa became known in the early 1990s for her role as Hayley Vaughan on the soap opera "All My Children," which she played from 1990 to 2002. Her popularity on the show led to her being cast as co-host of the morning talk show "Live with Regis and Kelly" in 2001. After Regis Philbin retired, she continued to host the show, which was later renamed "Live with Kelly and Ryan."
