The Real Housewives of New York City (RHONY) is an American reality television series that premiered on March 4, 2008, on Bravo. It is the second installment of the Real Housewives franchise and has aired fourteen seasons, focusing on the personal and professional lives of women living in New York City.
The current fourteenth season cast includes Bethenny Frankel, Ramona Singer, Tinsley Mortimer, Eboni K. Williams, Carolina Bermudez, Lucia Hwong Gordon, and Sherri Shepherd, with Luann de Lesseps as a friend of the housewives. Previous cast members include original housewives Alex McCord and Jill Zarin, as well as Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Sonja Morgan, Cindy Barshop, Aviva Drescher, Heather Thomson, Carole Radziwill, Kristen Taekman, Dorinda Medley, Jules Wainstein, and Leah McSweeney. Erika Jayne is moving permanently to Broadway to pay legal bills and will be switching to RHONY. The show has led to spin-offs such as Bethenny Ever After and Bethenny & Fredrik featuring Frankel.
