Laura Benanti, born Laura Ilene Vidnovic on July 15, 1979, is an American actress and singer successful on Broadway, television, and in concerts. She made her Broadway debut at 18 in The Sound of Music.
She won a Tony Award for her role as Louise in the 2008 musical Gypsy and received multiple nominations for productions like Into the Woods and She Loves Me. Benanti has appeared in TV series such as Supergirl and Younger and has released a self-titled album.
