Ponce achieved significant success in Argentina and throughout Latin America with her first album Inalcanzable, released in 2001. She gained further recognition in Italy after performing in the musical Notre-Dame de Paris held in Verona. Since then, she has produced two additional albums—Fearless (2004) and Il diario di Lola (2008)—and has sung in Spanish, Italian, and English. In 2008, she won the San Remo Festival alongside Giò Di Tonno with their song "Colpo di fulmine."
