Mareva Galanter (born 4 February 1979 in Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia) is a French actress and former beauty queen. She won the 1998 Miss World Islands and Miss Tahiti contests, then won Miss France 1999. She competed in Miss Universe 1999 but did not place.
Galanter began modeling before age 16 in French Polynesia and continued in Europe. She modeled for designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac in Paris. She expanded into music, releasing the album Ukuyéyé in 2006 and videos for seven songs. She hosted a French TV program about 1960s and 70s scopitones. Her film appearances include 3 Zéros, Les Gaous, The Pink Panther, and Tu Devais Faire du Cinéma. In 2008, she recorded her second album, Happy Fiu, with the band Little Barrie and collaborated with Rufus Wainwright and Martin Duffy. She toured in France and Europe. In 2010, she joined the Nouvelle Vague project and recorded new material. In 2011, she recorded seven songs with producer Jim Diamond in Detroit, including Western Love. Galanter is of Russian, Polish, and Romanian descent on her father's side and Tahitian descent on her mother's side.
