Mýa Marie Harrison (born October 10, 1979) is an American recording artist, songwriter, and actress. She signed with Interscope Records in 1998 and released her debut album the same year, which included the top ten single "It's All About Me." Her second album, Fear of Flying (2000), gained worldwide success with the single "Case of the Ex." In 2002, she won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for "Lady Marmalade" alongside P!nk, Christina Aguilera, and Lil' Kim.
Her third album, Moodring (2003), produced the single "My Love Is Like...Wo" and was certified gold. After leaving her label, she released two albums exclusively in Japan: Sugar & Spice (2008) and K.I.S.S. (2011). She founded the independent label Planet 9 and finished second on Dancing with the Stars season nine. Harrison has acted in films including In Too Deep (1999), Chicago, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights (2004), Shall We Dance? (2004), and Cursed (2005). As of October 2009, she sold 3.2 million albums in the US and 7 million worldwide and was ranked 97th on Billboard's Hot 100 Artists of the 2000s.
