Carol Denise Betts, known professionally as Niecy Nash-Betts, is an American actress, comedian, and television host. She hosted the Style Network show Clean House from 2003 to 2010, winning a Daytime Emmy Award in 2010. Nash is known for her role as Deputy Raineesha Williams in Reno 911! and received two Primetime Emmy nominations and a Critics' Choice nomination for her role as nurse Denise "DiDi" Ortley in HBO's Getting On. She also starred in The Soul Man, Scream Queens, and Claws, and appeared as Glenda Cleveland in Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story in 2022.
Nash has appeared in films and made numerous television guest appearances. She portrayed civil rights activist Richie Jean Jackson in Selma (2014) and starred as Delores Wise in Ava DuVernay's miniseries When They See Us (2019), earning a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress. She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2018 and portrayed Florynce Kennedy in Mrs. America (2020). In 2021, she guest-hosted five episodes of The Masked Singer.
