Pernille Harder, born on November 15, 1992, in Ikast, is a Danish footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or forward for Bayern Munich and is the captain of the Danish national team. She began her professional career at age 15 with Team Viborg, then played for Skovbakken before moving to Linköping in Sweden, where she won the Damallsvenskan and was the top scorer in 2016.
In 2017, she signed with VfL Wolfsburg, winning multiple Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal titles and reaching the Champions League final twice. In 2020, she transferred to Chelsea for a world record fee, winning the WSL and FA Cup, before joining Bayern Munich in 2023. Harder has been named UEFA Women’s Player of the Year twice (2018, 2020), is Denmark’s all-time top scorer, has been multiple times Danish Footballer of the Year, and is a three-time Ballon d’Or Féminin nominee. She is also known for her leadership, versatility, and as an LGBTQ+ icon alongside her partner Magdalena Eriksson. She is 1.69 m tall and speaks fluent English.
