Alaina Marie Beaton (born October 1, 1985), known as Porcelain Black, is an American industrial pop singer-songwriter, rapper, and model. She began her music career at eighteen as Porcelain and the Tramps with Virgin Records but left after disagreements over her music. She posted her recordings on Myspace, gaining millions of hits. In late 2009, she signed with RedOne's 2101 Records and started working on her debut album. After ending her partnership with RedOne, she planned to release her debut album in 2015.
Porcelain Black has appeared in music videos for Jack White and Travie McCoy. She has songwriting credits for artists including One Direction and Belinda. As a solo artist, she released three singles: "This Is What Rock n' Roll Looks Like," "Naughty Naughty," and "One Woman Army," the first featuring Lil Wayne. The first two charted on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart, while "One Woman Army" was a top-forty hit in France, Spain, and Wallonia and reached number one on France's iTunes chart. She toured with Lil Wayne and made her televised debut on the Late Show with David Letterman. Her music combines industrial themes with pop elements, characterized by guttural vocals and two-toned hair. She describes her style as the "love child" of Marilyn Manson and Britney Spears and was approached to record backing vocals for Courtney Love's 2008 album.
