Princess Madeleine of Sweden, Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland, was born on 10 June 1982. She is the second daughter and youngest child of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden. At birth, she was third in line to the Swedish throne and is currently sixth in line following the births of her niece Princess Estelle in February 2012 and her nephews Prince Oscar and Prince Alexander in 2016.
Princess Madeleine is married to British-born American financier Christopher O'Neill. They have two children: a daughter, Princess Leonore, and a son, Prince Nicolas.
