Susianna "Susi" Levonovna Kentikian, born Syuzanna Kentikyan on September 11, 1987, is a German-Armenian professional boxer residing in Germany. She was born in Yerevan, Armenian SSR, and left the country with her family at the age of five due to the Nagorno-Karabakh War. Kentikian has lived in Hamburg since 1996 and began boxing at twelve. After a successful amateur career, she turned professional in 2005, signing with the Hamburg promoter Spotlight Boxing.
Kentikian won her first world championship fight in February 2007 and is a former World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Organization (WBO), and Women's International Boxing Federation (WIBF) World Flyweight Champion. She was undefeated in her first 30 professional fights, winning 16 by knockout. Since July 2009, her fights have been broadcast on German television station ZDF, having previously headlined fight cards on ProSieben from 2007 to 2009. She has gained minor celebrity status in Germany and aims to reach popularity similar to that of retired German female boxing star Regina Halmich.
Armenia
