Teri Garr was born on December 11, 1944, in Lakewood, USA. She is the daughter of actor Eddie Garr and dancer Phyllis Garr. She made her film debut in A Swingin' Affair (1963) and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1983 for her role in the comedy Tootsie. Her last film appearance was in the short film God Out the Window in 2007.
Garr was married to actor John O'Neil from 1993 to 1996 and has an adopted daughter since 1993. She has had multiple sclerosis since 1983, was diagnosed in 1999, and made it public in 2002.
