Toni Michelle Braxton (born October 7, 1967) is an American singer-songwriter, pianist, record producer, actress, television personality, and philanthropist. She rose to fame in the early 1990s and became one of the best-selling female artists of that decade. Her debut album, released in 1993, sold over 10 million copies worldwide and earned her three Grammy Awards. Her second album, Secrets (1996), sold over 15 million copies and included the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits "You're Makin' Me High" and "Un-Break My Heart," the latter becoming her signature song. Braxton won two Grammy Awards for Secrets.
Her third album, The Heat (2000), sold over 4 million copies and featured the hit "He Wasn't Man Enough," which won a Grammy Award. She released three more albums—More Than a Woman (2002), Libra (2005), and Pulse (2010)—amid personal and label conflicts. In 2014, Braxton and Babyface released a duet album, Love, Marriage & Divorce, earning a Grammy in 2015. Throughout her career, Braxton has sold over 67 million records worldwide and won seven Grammy Awards, nine Billboard Music Awards, and seven American Music Awards. She has also worked as a television executive producer and personality, notably on Dancing with the Stars and Braxton Family Values. She was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame on September 18, 2011.
