Alice Elisabeth Weidel (born February 6, 1979, in Gütersloh) is a German politician of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party and a business consultant. She was the lead candidate of the AfD alongside Alexander Gauland for the 2017 federal election.
Since September 2017, she has been co-chair of the AfD parliamentary group and the leader of the opposition in the Bundestag.
