Allyson Michelle Felix (born November 18, 1985) is an American track and field sprinter. From 2003 to 2013, she specialized in the 200 meter sprint and later shifted to the 400 meter sprint. She has competed in the 100 meters, 4x100 meter relay, and 4x400 meter relay. Felix is the 2012 Olympic champion at 200 meters, a three-time world champion (2005–2009), and two-time Olympic silver medalist (2004 and 2008). At 400 meters, she won the 2015 world championship, earned silver in 2011, bronze in 2017 at the World Championships, and silver at the 2016 Olympics.
Felix has won five additional Olympic gold medals as part of the U.S. women's relay teams: three in the 4x400 meters (2008–2016) and two in the 4x100 meters (2012 and 2016). The 2012 U.S. 4x100 meters team set the current women's world record. She is the only female track and field athlete with six Olympic gold medals and is tied with Merlene Ottey as the most decorated female Olympian in track and field with nine Olympic medals. Felix holds 18 career medals at the World Athletics Championships, including 13 golds, the most for any athlete. Her personal best of 21.69 seconds in the 200 meters (2012) ranks seventh all-time. In 2013, she set the world best in the 150 meters with 16.36 seconds. At the 2015 World Championships, she ran the fastest 4x400 meters relay split by an American woman (47.72 seconds). Felix is a four-time Diamond League winner, participates in the US Anti-Doping Agency's "Project Believe," and is coached by Bobby Kersee. She was named to Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2020.
