Anjelica Huston (born July 8, 1951) is an American actress, director, and former fashion model. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 1985 film Prizzi's Honor, becoming the third generation of her family to win an Academy Award, following her father John Huston and grandfather Walter Huston. She also received Academy Award nominations for Enemies, a Love Story (1989) and The Grifters (1990).
Huston earned British Academy Award nominations for her performances in Woody Allen's films Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989) and Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993). She starred as Morticia Addams in The Addams Family (1991) and Addams Family Values (1993), receiving Golden Globe nominations for both, and played the Grand High Witch in The Witches (1990). She frequently collaborated with director Wes Anderson, appearing in The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004). Huston is also the author of two memoirs: A Story Lately Told and Watch Me.
