Bae Doona, born on October 11, 1979, in Seoul, is a South Korean actress. She started her career as a model and transitioned to television series before moving into film.
Her breakthrough role was as the politically radical girlfriend of the main character in Park Chan-wook's "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance." She had a cameo in its sequel "Lady Vengeance" (2005). In 2014, she played a police officer protecting a young girl named Dohee in the film "A Girl at My Door." For this role, she received the Blue Dragon Award for Best Actress in a Foreign Language Film and the Asian Film Award.
