Catherine Ann Keener (born March 23, 1959) is an American actress. She was nominated twice for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her roles as Maxine Lund in Being John Malkovich (1999) and Harper Lee in Capote (2005).
Keener appeared in The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), Into the Wild (2007), Synecdoche, New York (2008), and Get Out (2017), all of which were well received by critics. She has appeared in each of director Nicole Holofcener's first five films.
