Catrinel Menghia, also known as Catrinel Marlon, was born on October 1, 1985, in Iași, Romania. She is a fashion model known for her appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2006 and 2009, and as the face of Giorgio Armani worldwide and the French lingerie brand Lise Charmel.
At 16, Menghia placed third in Ford's "Supermodel of Romania" competition and was named Romania's Model of the Year in 2002. She made her television debut at 17 in the music video for "Cerceii Tai" by the Romanian band Krypton and signed with Major Model Management in Milan. She has appeared in Maxim, FHM, and Fitness magazines and has done advertisements for clients including Fiat.
