Emmanuela Marrone, known as Emma or Emma Marrone, was born on May 25, 1984, in Florence, Italy. She is an Italian pop singer who won the Italian talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi in March 2010 and signed with Universal Music. On February 18, 2012, she won first place at the Sanremo Music Festival with her song "Non è l'inferno."
Emma has released one EP, four albums, and 15 singles, earning two Multiplatinum, 14 Platinum, and two Gold discs. Since 2012, she has performed publicly with a guitar. She served as artistic director of a team on Amici di Maria De Filippi in 2013 and 2015. In 2014, Emma represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen with the song "La mia città," finishing 21st. She has sold more than 1,200,000 singles and albums combined.
