Julianna Margulies (born June 8, 1966) is an American actress and producer. She gained critical and commercial success for her role as Carol Hathaway on NBC's medical drama ER, winning an Emmy Award. She voiced Neera in Dinosaur (2000) and appeared in the miniseries The Mists of Avalon (2001).
In 2009, Margulies starred as Alicia Florrick in the CBS legal drama The Good Wife, earning a Golden Globe, a Television Critics Association Award, and two additional Emmy Awards. She has won eight Screen Actors Guild Awards, making her the most awarded woman in SAG history. In 2015, TIME named her one of the "100 Most Influential People in the World," and she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
