American television personality Lauren Katherine Tell (née Conrad; born February 1, 1986) is also a fashion designer and author. Raised in Laguna Beach, California, she completed her education at Laguna Beach High School. In September 2004, at the age of 18, Conrad gained visibility after being selected for the reality series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, which showcased her life alongside those of her peers.

After relocating to Los Angeles in May 2006 to advance her career in fashion, Conrad was invited to star in a spin-off program titled The Hills, which followed both her personal and professional experiences along with friends Heidi Montag, Audrina Patridge, and Whitney Port. During this time, she attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising while working with Teen Vogue and Kelly Cutrone's PR agency People's Revolution. As production continued, a highly publicized conflict emerged between Conrad and Montag as well as Montag's partner Spencer Pratt. This feud became a focal point throughout each season featuring Conrad.

In May 2009, after five seasons on The Hills, Conrad departed from the show and was succeeded by Kristin Cavallari from Laguna Beach. She filmed an alternative conclusion for the series finale in July 2010 that aired in August 2013. In addition to her television career, she launched two fashion lines: LC Lauren Conrad in 2009 and Paper Crown in 2011. Furthermore, she published the L.A. Candy book trilogy in 2010 followed by The Fame Game series spin-off in 2012. In September 2014, Conrad entered into marriage with former musician William Tell who is also a law school graduate.
