Maria Bakalova (born June 4, 1996, in Burgas) is a Bulgarian actress. She was trained at the National Art School in Burgas and the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts "Krastyo Sarafov". In 2017, she had a guest role in the series Gomorrah and made her film debut in XIIa. The following year, she played the lead role in the film Transgression.
In 2020, Bakalova starred as Borat's daughter Tutar Sagdiyev alongside Sacha Baron Cohen in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. A scene featuring her and Rudolph Giuliani attracted international attention. Bakalova also appeared in Jimmy Kimmel Live! and participated in several US television interviews with Cohen discussing the film's events.
