María Valverde Rodríguez (born March 24, 1987, in Madrid) is a Spanish actress. She debuted in 2003 at the age of 16 with the film The Stranger in the Park. For her leading role alongside Luis Tosar, she received the Goya Award for Best New Actress in 2004.
She played the lead role in Melissa P. (2005), portrayed Lucrezia Borgia in The Borgias (2006), and appeared alongside Juan José Ballesta in Thieves (2007) and Leonardo Sbaraglia in King of the Hill (2007) directed by Gonzalo López-Gallego. In Ridley Scott's Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014), she played Zipporah, the wife of Moses. María Valverde was in a relationship with Spanish actor Mario Casas from 2009 to 2014, who starred with her in Three Steps Above Heaven.
