Marla Lynne Sokoloff, born December 19, 1980, in San Francisco, California, is an American actress and musician. She made her first television appearance at the age of twelve in the series Full House. Beginning in 1994, she attended the High School of the Arts in Los Angeles, where she studied theater and music.
Since 2004, Sokoloff has been with Alec Puro, composer and drummer of the band Deadsy, whom she married on November 8, 2009. Their daughter was born on February 8, 2012. Sokoloff appeared in several episodes of Desperate Housewives, one episode each of Friends, Home Improvement, and Burn Notice. From 1999 to 2003, she was a regular cast member on The Practice. She also acted in films such as Sugar & Spice, Dude, Where's My Car?, and Love on the Side (2004). As a musician, she released her debut album Grateful in spring 2006, writing all the songs herself. In 2009, she had a voice role in the film Bionicle: The Legend Awakened.
