Miranda Leigh Lambert (born November 10, 1983) is an American country music singer and songwriter. She finished third on the 2003 USA Network singing competition Nashville Star and is a member of the Pistol Annies with Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley. Lambert has received honors from the Grammy Awards, the Academy of Country Music Awards, and the Country Music Association Awards.
Lambert's debut album, Kerosene (2005), was certified Platinum in the US and produced four top 40 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Her second album, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2007), included three top 20 singles, with "Gunpowder & Lead" reaching the top 10. Her third album, Revolution (2009), featured two number-one hits on the Hot Country Songs chart. Four the Record (2011) included five singles. Platinum (2014) won the Grammy for Best Country Album, with the lead single "Automatic" reaching the top 5. Her sixth album, The Weight of These Wings, was released on November 18, 2016, and certified Platinum by the RIAA.
