German-Polish actress Nastassja Kinski (born 24 January 1961) is also a former model, recognized for her work in over sixty films across both European and American cinema. She achieved international fame with her role in Stay As You Are (1978), followed by her Golden Globe Award-winning portrayal of the lead character in Tess (1979), directed by Roman Polanski. Other films featuring her include the erotic horror film Cat People (1982), as well as Wim Wenders' dramas Paris, Texas (1984) and Faraway, So Close! (1993), along with An American Rhapsody (2001). She is the child of actor Klaus Kinski.
