Pamela Susan Shoop is an American character actress known for numerous series by Glen A. Larson and for playing nurse Karen Bailey in Halloween II (1981). On television, she appeared in the pilot episodes of Knight Rider ("Knight of the Phoenix") and Magnum, P.I., as Alison MacKenzie Tate in Return to Peyton Place, as well as in Galactica 1980, The Mod Squad, Wonder Woman, The Incredible Hulk, Simon & Simon, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, B. J. and the Bear, and Murder, She Wrote.
She is the daughter of actress Julie Bishop and Major General Clarence A. Shoop. In 1987, she married former Jesuit Terrance Sweeney; together they wrote the autobiography What God Hath Joined. She continues to meet fans at conventions and appeared in the documentary Halloween: 25 Years of Terror (2006).
