German-Filipino actress, television presenter, model, and beauty queen Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach (born 24 September 1989), previously recognized in the Philippine entertainment and modeling scene as Pia Romero, achieved the title of Miss Universe on 20 December 2015 after being named Miss Universe Philippines at the Binibining Pilipinas pageant held on 15 March 2015.

Wurtzbach is the third individual from the Philippines to secure the Miss Universe crown, following Gloria Diaz's victory in 1969 and Margarita Moran's win in 1973.
