Tanquil "Tai" Lisa Collins (born 1962 in Roanoke, Virginia) is a model, actress, screenwriter, philanthropist, and former Miss Virginia USA (1983). She created and executive produced the television series SAF3, which aired in 66 countries from 2013 to 2016. The series is an action drama about an elite division of the Malibu Fire Department specializing in sea, air, and fire emergencies. Collins has written for and acted on Baywatch and contributed to shows including NYPD Blue, Poltergeist: The Legacy, Fame LA, The Pretender, and She Spies. Her feature film Finding Home won the Angel Award for Best Drama at the 2013 Monaco International Film Festival.
Collins co-founded the A Chance for Children Foundation in 1992, serving as its executive director. The foundation supports at-risk youth in Los Angeles by providing opportunities and tools to achieve goals. She has received multiple honors for her humanitarian work, including a Humanitarian Award in 1999, a California State Assembly Resolution in 2001, and recognition from the Los Angeles Dodgers and the California Peace Officers Association. Her charity was named Lend a Hand Charity of the Year 2012 by TODAY and Al Roker. The foundation operates free libraries across Los Angeles and partners with various city agencies. In 2013, Collins and Gregory J. Bonann started A Chance for Children South Africa. MSNBC featured her in a segment titled "The God Mother of Hollywood." In 1991, Collins alleged an eighteen-month relationship with then-Governor of Virginia and later U.S. Senator Chuck Robb and appeared in Playboy magazine.
