Mexican singer-songwriter and actress Anahí Giovanna Puente de Velasco, known simply as Anahí (Spanish pronunciation: [anaˈi]), was born on May 14, 1983.

She gained prominence for her performances in Alondra (1995), Mujeres Engañadas (1999), Primer Amor (2000), Clase 406 (2003), Rebelde (2004) and Dos Hogares (2011).

Anahí was part of the Latin pop group RBD, which received two nominations for a Latin Grammy and achieved sales exceeding 20 million albums. In 2009, she launched the album Mi Delirio, which reached sales of one million copies globally. Throughout her career as a solo artist, she has sold a total of 3 million albums.
