Italian pop singer Anna Tatangelo, born on January 9, 1987, began her career at the age of 15 when she became the youngest recipient of the Newcomer's Award at the Sanremo Music Festival. Her music primarily features pop elements with some neo-melodic influences in tracks written for her by artist Gigi D'Alessio, as well as in her fifth collaborative album Progetto B. Tatangelo has addressed various social topics including women's empowerment, homophobia, anorexia, and violence against women. Additionally, since 2007 she has contributed to songwriting.
