Swedish pop and jazz vocalist Anni-Frid Synni, Princess Reuss of Plauen (German: Anni-Frid Synni, Prinzessin Reuss von Plauen; born Anni-Frid Synni Lyngstad, Norwegian: [ВІЙ‘nЛђЙЄfriЛђd Л€lКЏЕ‹stЙ‘]; Swedish: [ВІanЛђЙЄfriЛђd Л€lКЏЕ‹stЙ‘Лђd], 15 November 1945), is commonly referred to as Frida Lyngstad or simply Frida (Norwegian: [ВІfriЛђdЙ‘]; Swedish: [ВІfriЛђda]). She was born in Norway to a Norwegian mother and a German father but grew up in Sweden. Frida gained worldwide fame as part of the pop ensemble ABBA, which has sold more than 380 million albums and singles globally, establishing them among the top-selling music artists ever. Following ABBA's disbandment, she pursued an international solo career with varied results. In 1996, Frida released her last album before stepping back from music. Currently, she is involved in environmental advocacy.

In April 1964, at the age of 18, she wed Ragnar Fredriksson. After their divorce in 1970, Lyngstad entered into a relationship with future ABBA member Benny Andersson; they lived together until their marriage in 1978. The couple separated in 1980 and finalized their divorce by 1981. In 1992, she married Heinrich Ruzzo, Prince Reuss of Plauen from the former ruling House of Reuss; he passed away from lymphoma in October 1999. Since 2008, Lyngstad resides in Zermatt, Switzerland alongside her British partner Henry Smith, who holds the title of Viscount Hambleden.
