Queensberry was a German pop ensemble consisting entirely of female members, established in late 2008. The group originated during the seventh season of Germany's adaptation of the global talent competition Popstars, titled Popstars – Just 4 Girls. The initial roster included vocalists Leonore Bartsch (Leo), Gabriella De Almeida Rinne (Gabby), Antonella Trapani (Anto), and Victoria Ulbrich (Vici). On July 7, 2010, it was disclosed that Antonella and Victoria had departed from the group, with new additions Selina Herrero and Ronja Hilbig joining.

The band's first album Volume I debuted in December 2008 and achieved gold certification in Germany. It featured two singles, No Smoke and I Can't Stop Feeling, both reaching the top thirty on music charts. In February 2008, Queensberry acted as the supporting performers for The Pussycat Dolls's Doll Domination Tour across selected European nations. In November 2009, their second studio album titled On My Own was launched.

For the soundtrack associated with Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, Queensberry collaborated with The Chipettes to record The Song in December 2009. This track attained number six on the U.S. Billboard charts while the film's soundtrack secured the top position on U.S. soundtrack charts.
