Danica Patrick was born on March 25, 1982, in Beloit, Wisconsin, USA. She became known as a pioneering professional race car driver who broke gender barriers in a predominantly male sport.
Her rise to fame began in open-wheel racing, particularly in the IndyCar Series. In 2005, she became the first woman to lead the Indianapolis 500 and finished fourth, the highest placement for a female driver at that time. In 2008, she earned her first IndyCar Series victory at the Twin Ring Motegi in Japan. Patrick switched to NASCAR in 2012, competing in the Cup Series and Xfinity Series. She retired from professional racing in 2018.
