Dutch performer Ellen ten Damme (born October 7, 1967) is an actress, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Ten Damme performs in four languages: Dutch, English, French, and German. She is skilled in playing the piano and keyboards as well as the guitar and violin. In her youth, she was an avid gymnast, which has led to the inclusion of gymnastic elements or circus-inspired acts in her performances.

Raised in the village of Roden near Groningen—a university town—she initially studied Dutch before transferring to Amsterdam Theatre School to focus on stage acting, film work, cabaret, and musical performance. After spending considerable time in Germany, Ten Damme returned to Amsterdam where she resides on a houseboat.
