Lena Philipsson (born Maria Magdalena Filipsson on January 19, 1966, in Vetlanda) is a Swedish pop singer. She achieved her first major success in 1986 with the song "Kärleken är evig," which placed second at Melodifestivalen. Other successful songs include "Dansa i neon" (1987), "Om igen" (1988), "Talking in Your Sleep" (1988), "Why" (1989), and "Stjärnorna" (1995).
In 2004, she won the Swedish Melodifestivalen with the song "Det gör ont," which she performed in English as "It Hurts" at the Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul, achieving sixth place. The Swedish version of the song topped the Swedish charts for several weeks. In 2006, Lena Philipsson hosted the Swedish Eurovision selection, featuring participants such as 1991 winner Carola, Linda Bengtzing, and the pop group Rednex.
