English actress Nicola Kathleen Stapleton (born 9 August 1974 in Elephant and Castle, London) is a graduate of the Sylvia Young Theatre School. She started her professional work at a young age, featuring in films like Hansel and Grettel and appearing on TV in the children's series Simon and the Witch in 1987.

In 1992, she landed a prominent part on British television as Mandy Salter in BBC's EastEnders. Although she left this role in 1994, Stapleton made her return to it after seventeen years in 2011. She departed from the character again in 2012.
