British film actress and singer Alia Bhatt (born 15 March 1993) is known for her work in Bollywood. She comes from the Bhatt family, being the child of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan. Bhatt started her professional career as a child performer in the 1999 thriller Sangharsh, later taking on her first principal role in Karan Johar's romantic film Student of the Year (2012), which led to a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
