German singer and songwriter AnNa R., originally named Andrea Neuenhofen, was born on December 25, 1969, in East Berlin. Growing up in East Berlin, she sought to make her mark in the music industry during the GDR period but faced challenges due to her outspoken lyrics. After the reunification of Germany, she co-established the musical duo Rosenstolz in 1991, taking on the role of lead vocalist. In addition to this project, she participated in various cultural initiatives and worked as a guest vocalist for the German group Silly in 2005. AnNa R. further advanced her music career through collaborations with bands such as Gleis 8 and Silly while also successfully launching a solo endeavor.
