She gained attention for her performances in films during the 1970s, particularly for her role as Rosie Carver in the James Bond movie Live and Let Die from 1973, which marked Roger Moore's debut as Bond; along with her portrayal of Helen Bradley in the blaxploitation movies Black Caesar and its sequel Hell Up in Harlem.
