American singer-songwriter Grace VanderWaal (born January 15, 2004) is recognized for her unique vocal style and frequently plays the ukulele during performances.

VanderWaal initiated her music journey by sharing videos featuring her original compositions and covers on YouTube while participating in local open mic events in Suffern, New York. At the age of 12, she triumphed in the eleventh season of NBC's talent competition America's Got Talent (AGT), performing her own songs. In December 2016, she launched her debut EP titled Perfectly Imperfect under Columbia Records. Following this, she released a complete album named Just the Beginning in November 2017. A second EP entitled Letters Vol. 1 was made available in November 2019.

She has taken to stages at various venues including Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas and Madison Square Garden, participated in the opening and closing ceremonies of the Special Olympics World Winter Games held in Austria in 2017, engaged in multiple charity concerts, appeared at the Austin City Limits Music Festival, and featured on several talk shows. VanderWaal undertook her inaugural concert tour during 2017 to promote Just the Beginning. Subsequently, she joined Imagine Dragons for their Evolve World Tour mid-2018 and headlined her own "Ur So Beautiful" tour after supporting Florence and the Machine's tour in 2019. Her acting career commenced with a role as Susan "Stargirl" Caraway in Disney+'s musical drama film Stargirl released in 2020.

In recognition of her contributions to music, VanderWaal received a Radio Disney Music Award for Best New Artist along with a Teen Choice Award; she has been listed five times (from 2016 to 2019 and again in 2021) among Billboard magazine's prestigious list of young music talents known as '21 Under 21'. Additionally, she was honored with the Billboard Women in Music Rising Star Award for the year 2017 and is noted as being the youngest individual ever featured on Forbes' music-related section of its renowned '30 Under 30' list.
