American actress Jane Marie Lynch, born on July 14, 1960, is also an author, singer, and comedian. She is widely recognized for her performance as Sue Sylvester in the musical TV series Glee. Additionally, she gained attention through Christopher Guest's improvised mockumentary films like Best in Show. A resident of Dolton, Illinois originally, Lynch has made guest appearances on television shows such as the Nickelodeon sitcom iCarly and the Showtime dark comedy Weeds. From 2004 to 2014, she played a recurring character in the Warner Bros. sitcom Two and a Half Men and received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for her work in 2010.
