American actress, photographer, and author Jewel Shepard is recognized for her appearances in films like Party Camp (1987) and Return of the Living Dead (1985).

Following several minor roles on television, Shepard entered the film industry with H.B. Halicki's The Junkman (1982). She subsequently appeared in more than a dozen predominantly B movies. In 1992, she leveraged her identity as a "B-girl" to publish Invasion of the B-Girls, which features interviews with cult figures such as Kitten Natividad, Linnea Quigley, Yvette Vickers, Haji, and Mary Woronov. Additionally, she has contributed articles to various magazines including Premiere, Cosmopolitan, Details, and The Associated Press.

Her memoir titled If I'm So Famous, How Come Nobody's Ever Heard of Me?, which explores some of the less glamorous elements of filmmaking along with her experiences in adult entertainment, was released in 1996.

Since 2011, Shepard has been dealing with invasive breast cancer and has undergone treatments including chemotherapy, lymph node removal surgery, and a double mastectomy.
