American television host Kathie Lee Gifford (born Epstein, formerly Johnson; August 16, 1953) is recognized for her extensive career as a singer, songwriter, comedian, and actress. She is particularly known for co-hosting the talk show Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee for 15 years from 1985 to 2000 alongside Regis Philbin. Throughout her career, she has been nominated for 11 Daytime Emmy Awards and secured her first Daytime Emmy in 2010 as part of the Today team.

Gifford's initial appearance on television was as Tom Kennedy's singer/sidekick on the syndicated program Name That Tune between 1974 and 1978.

She began featuring in commercials for Carnival Cruise Lines starting in 1984.

On April 7, 2008, Gifford commenced co-hosting the fourth hour of Today with Hoda Kotb. Additionally, she makes occasional appearances during the first three hours of Today and serves as a contributing correspondent for NBC News.
